Admins vs moderators, full account wipes & chat cleanup

MyTube

  • •Roles renamed: the protected owner account is the Admin, and everyone promoted through the password is a Moderator — the Admin keeps every moderator power plus account deletion, announcement removal and password changes
  • •The Admin never shows a Moderator tag anymore in the moderation console — the protected account is recognized by its role and username everywhere (console, channels, Concord), not just on one page
  • •Deleting an account now wipes it completely: the sign-in, profile, videos, shorts, comments, replies, reactions, announcements, recommendations, playlists, reports, watch history and Concord messages all go with it
  • •Private accounts only reveal their display name and bio to other people; everything else stays yours
  • •Profiles and channels can use a custom background banner image instead of the gradient
  • •The MyTube and Concord tabs sit flush against the toolbar with no gap, and the app you're in always sits on top instead of overlapping

Concord

  • •Hiding a DM with the x only tucks it away — the new All DMs list brings it back, and a trash button deletes it for real
  • •Reorder your DM list however you like without affecting anyone else
  • •Delete messages just for you or for everyone; deleted ones read 'This message has been deleted'
  • •Send voice messages with the mic button in the chat bar
  • •Group chats have a members panel: owner first, then online and away people, then everyone offline
  • •Group owners can upload a custom icon or GIF; default icons use the chat's first letter on a random color
  • •Concord profiles show bio, last seen and full details in one place

Username sign-in, smarter search & edit history

MyTube

  • •Sign in with your username — the part before the @ in your old email is your username, and the email still works too
  • •New accounts are created with a username instead of an email, and usernames are one of a kind
  • •Remember me checkbox and a show / hide password toggle on the sign-in page
  • •Signing out now drops you straight back on the MyTube home page
  • •The MyTube and Concord tabs pop up slightly when you pick one
  • •Search now finds close matches, not just exact ones — typos and partial words still work
  • •Trending suggestions in the search bar come from what people actually watched in the last two weeks
  • •Anything edited is now marked Edited — announcements, comments, and videos / shorts (shown in the description)
  • •Announcement authors can edit their own announcements, and edited ones jump back to the top
  • •Protected admins can edit change log entries right on this page
  • •Private videos are hidden from search and every listing except for the person who posted them, and can only be reported once made public
  • •Private accounts are now clearly explained: you stay fully active but appear as Anonymous, and your channel is hidden

Concord

  • •Message timestamps show the actual time a message was sent instead of '3 months ago'
  • •Private accounts show up as a private profile in Concord too

Private videos, account deletion & chat read receipts

MyTube

  • •Only protected admins can delete an account — deleted accounts are told their account was removed when they try to sign in
  • •New Private video option at upload, and you can flip a video private or public later from Edit
  • •Private accounts now show up as Anonymous when they comment, subscribe or post instead of disappearing
  • •Videos / Shorts switchers added to Subscriptions, Liked and History so the lists are no longer jumbled
  • •Watch history now shows each video's duration
  • •Resolved reports disappear after 7 days, and protected admins can dismiss any report instantly
  • •The admin console picks up your theme accent colors

Concord

  • •Messages are now grouped by day with a date divider
  • •Kakao-style unread counter next to your messages showing how many people haven't read them yet
  • •A new-message popup appears when someone DMs you — Read opens the chat, Close leaves it unread
  • •Voice lounge actually connects people now with live peer-to-peer audio
  • •The DM chime is much quieter and plays instantly instead of lagging behind

Concord

  • •Opening Admin, Profile or any Account page from Concord keeps you in Concord instead of switching back to MyTube
  • •Your channel and Upload video are hidden in Concord and replaced with a Friends shortcut
  • •New Friends tab in the sidebar and header — friend requests and people search moved out of the DM list
  • •Remove a DM from your list with the new x button
  • •Theme accent colors now tint the Concord DM and friend sections
  • •A green ring lights up around your avatar in the Voice Lounge when your mic picks up sound

Concord friends, replies & the reports queue

MyTube

  • •Comments and channels can now be reported, not just videos and shorts
  • •New Reports queue in the admin console — every report lands there with its reason, extra details, reporter and a link to the content, and can be marked resolved or reopened
  • •Header rebuilt into two rows: big MyTube and Concord tabs on top, search and everything else on the row below

Concord

  • •Friends replace subscriptions inside Concord — send, accept and remove friend requests
  • •Clicking anyone's icon opens their Concord card: online status, display name, username, real name, plus Friend, DM, Call (disabled for now) and Block buttons
  • •Full Concord profiles show bio, admin status, friend count, group chats and mutual group chats
  • •Reply to any message in DMs and group chats — the quoted message shows above the reply
  • •Group chat invites now have to be accepted before someone joins
  • •Hover the DM Room or Group Chat tabs at the top to jump straight into any conversation
  • •New DMs play a notification sound and add a blue unread badge to the Concord button
  • •The Concord tab is marked Experimental, People is now Friends, and the page title reads 'Concord — Chat and call friends'

Major update — Concord chat, subscriber counts & channel stats

MyTube

  • •Fixed subscriber counts showing 0 on watch pages, channels and your Subscriptions list
  • •Your Subscriptions page now shows each channel's subscriber count
  • •Channel pages now show total views and total hours watched by viewers
  • •Fixed the Profile page: identity fields, status and colors can be edited again (background status refreshes no longer wipe what you're typing)

Concord

  • •Concord launched — a chat space next door to MyTube, reachable from the red Concord button in the header
  • •In Concord the logo, search bar and sidebar switch over: Voice Lounge, DM Room and Group Chat replace search, and Explore becomes DMs
  • •Direct messages: click anyone's icon to see their status, display name and username, then start a DM without needing their permission
  • •Block people so they can't see or message you — unblock any time from the same popup
  • •Group chats: create one from the Group Chat tab and invite people with the button at the top
  • •Voice Lounge: drop in, see who's there, and watch who's talking with live speaking indicators and mute
  • •The Account section stays exactly the same in Concord; the 'You' tab is hidden there

  • •Custom scrollbars everywhere that match your accent theme and light / dark mode
  • •The 'Finish Setting Up Your Profile' reminder now returns every visit until your name and username are filled in

  • •Report button on videos (next to Share) and in the new Shorts 'More' menu — reports go straight to admins with a reason and extra details

Playback progress, live status, captions & recommendations

  • •Fixed video resume: thumbnails now show the saved red progress bar, finished videos show full progress, and rewatching starts from the beginning

  • •User online / idle / do-not-disturb status now refreshes live on channel pages and in Site Stats

Resume playback, keyboard controls, search history & offline status

  • •Videos now remember where you left off — a red progress bar shows on thumbnails and playback resumes when you return
  • •Left / Right arrow keys jump the video back or forward 10 seconds
  • •When a regular video finishes, an overlay shows recommended videos and a link to the channel
  • •Uploads without a custom thumbnail now show a random frame straight from the video, including older uploads
  • •Shorts count a view every time you scroll to them and again on every replay
  • •The search bar shows your recent searches — click the ✕ to remove one, or clear them all from Settings → Search history
  • •'New on MyTube' now only lists videos uploaded in the past month
  • •Channel pages show 'Offline' when the user hasn't been active in the last 5 minutes
  • •Site stats now include a full list of users with their status (online / idle / do not disturb / offline) and when they were last on MyTube
  • •Announcements and Recommendations now require signing in to view
  • •Default avatars use your chosen icon color (or neutral gray) — theme accent colors no longer tint people's profile circles
  • •The MyTube logo keeps its signature blue and is never re-tinted by the theme accent

Shorts links, auto thumbnails, replay views & smarter update popups

  • •Clicking a Short from any channel now opens the Shorts feed on that Short instead of the regular video page
  • •Uploads without a custom thumbnail automatically get one from a random frame of the video or Short
  • •Shorts view count now bumps every time you scroll to a Short and again on every replay
  • •Unread announcements AND unread changelog entries pop up together — read them one by one, or Close to skip all
  • •Admins can no longer ban, suspend, or demote other admins — only super admins can (regular users still get full moderation)
